SIMM 2018
The Sillimanians in Metro Manila (SIMM) celebrated the 117th Silliman University Founders Day held last August 11, 2018 at the Ballroom of the Heritage Hotel in Pasay City. The evening was honored with the presence of Dumaguete City Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo who was also the guest speaker sharing plans for our dear old Silliman and Dumaguete City.
With the theme “The Silliman Spirit Lives On”, the fellowship was filled with merry making through inspiring conversations, dancing, singing and raffles of major prizes. The host of the night was director, actor and talent manager Romm Burlat. The Philippine Marines Combo band also brought groove to the whole celebration.
Silliman Sunday was also conducted the day after with DFA Usec Ernie Abella as guest speaker. SIMM will also be organizing a golf tournament on September 28, 2018 at the Veterans Golf and Country Club at North Avenue cor. Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City to raise funds for the SIMM office, where new graduates will be assisted with job hunting as well as a stopover for transient travelling alumni from all over the world.
